A Phone Play, Scene: My Office

Does anyone ever pay attention to the first 10 seconds of a phone conversation? Today’s phone drama gives weight to my theory that people do not.

Me: This is david.

Dude: Yeah, uh, Mr. Feldman…

Me: No, I’m not Mr. Feldman.

Dude: Oh, sorry Mr. Feldman.
